Polite staff and cozy rooms, we had a pleasant experience. We liked rooms with the hammock. Could use climate control and an iron. Location: the hotel was not far from ferry terminal, and restaurants and the port...

I recently stayed at a guest house in Ishigaki and had a great experience. The location was super convenient and close to the ferry terminal, making it easy for me to explore the area. I also loved the fact that there were convenience stores nearby, including a Family Mart right across the guesthouse. The best part of my stay was definitely the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, with Yuya being the standout. And let's not forget about the resident cats - they were absolutely adorable! The whole atmosphere of the guesthouse felt really homey and welcoming.
Though my stay was overall enjoyable, there were a couple of downsides to note. The walls in the rooms were not well soundproofed, so I could hear noises from other guests and the hallway, which made it a bit difficult to sleep.

We found great value for our money at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, perfect for our group of 4 adults and 1 baby. The location was ideal, with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The staff were incredibly friendly and gave us fantastic recommendations for things to do and places to eat.
When it comes to breakfast choices, it would have been nice to have a wider variety.

We had a fantastic stay at this guest house. The location is excellent, right in the center of town and close to everything. It made exploring the city so convenient for us. The hotel facilities were great, especially the common area on the roof balcony. We loved being able to play with the cats and enjoy the evening sunset with a nice breeze. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us great recommendations for snorkeling spots that only locals would know. The cleanliness of the guest house and room was impressive, especially considering that there are cats living upstairs. The showers were also clean and well-maintained. this is a great place to stay for the price.

The location of the guesthouse was fantastic, right in the center of the city and close to all the restaurants. It was very convenient to have a Family Mart just opposite the guesthouse. the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, providing insider tips on what to do and where to eat. the rooftop terrace was a great advantage, offering a comfortable and enjoyable place to relax.
The lack of privacy in the rooms due to the walls not reaching the ceiling. This meant that noise from other guests traveled easily, and we could hear them and they could hear us.

Incredible staff who went above and beyond with jaw-dropping tips on what to do, where to eat, and how to get around. Super spacious room for 4 adults and 1 baby, and noise was no issue at all in the community room next door. Mind-blowing location with restaurants, shops, and the port within walking distance. Wi-fi, luggage storage, laundry, TV room, shared kitchen, air conditioning. A truly amazing experience!

I couldn't believe the value for my money at this place! The room was cozy but not cramped, and the location was super convenient being just 5 minutes from the bus terminal. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving me great advice on things to do in the area.
The hotel breakfast menu could have had more variety.

Great location in the heart of the town, close to restaurants and shops. I also loved the comfortable and cozy private rooms in the hostel. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any inquiries. The facilities were well-maintained and provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The kitchen was quite basic and could use some upgrades, as the equipment was old and the area was not well-maintained. The walls were a bit thin, so there was some noise from neighboring rooms.
